The Ford Transit provides versatility and value for everyone from large families to the lone traveler. This van has three different roof heights – short, medium, and tall. It has three separate lengths – regular, long, and extended. The Passenger trim can accommodate up to 15 people, measuring well amongst competitors in its class.

2019 Ford Transit  Engine, Handling, and Ride

The Transit offers three different engines: a standard 275 horsepower V6 engine, 310 horsepower twin turbo V6 engine, and a five cylinder diesel powered engine that is capable of 350 pounds-foot of torque. All three engines are mated to a six speed automatic transmission. As a result, the Transit can tow up to 7500 pounds while the passenger trim can carry up to 5100 pounds.

The cargo van is equipped with a middle body length and medium roof. It is powered by the impressive twin-turbo V6 which makes the Transit surprisingly quick, capable of accelerating zero to 60 mph in less than 7 seconds. In terms of control, the Transit is very agile and you won’t have a hard time driving on standard terrains.

2019 Ford Transit  Technology

The Transit comes with a few standard features that can be upgraded to more desirable options. These options include a 6.5 inch touchscreen, power running boards, lane-keeping assist, rear parking sensors, and more. The Ford Transit has unbeatable cargo volume, although passenger space varies depending on the body style, roof height, along with short and long wheelbases.

2019 Ford Transit Design

The 2019 Ford Transit has a bare bones style that won’t catch you off guard, and once you’ve seen it, you’ll know that it’s all about the interior than the exterior. It has a long snout and is very tall. The van has many cubbies and storage bins for those rare occasions when you’re shopping for groceries.

2019 Ford Transit Comfort

The Transit is comfortable enough for the lone traveler who’s always on the go. These seats are shot in cloth or vinyl upholstery, complete with plenty of storage cubbies and armrests. The rear seats are also equally as comfortable and very spacious, with some configurations offering seating space for up to 15 people.

If you buy it as a cargo van, the Transit boasts up to 487 cubic feet of cargo space, giving you room to do whatever you want. The cargo offers either 129.9 or 147.6 inch wheelbase.

2019 Ford Transit Safety

Large vans like the Ford Transit more than delivers. The Transit comes with all the bells and whistles right out of the factory, stability control systems, airbags, and a rearview camera. Most configurations have blind-spot monitors. It is highly advised to go for the extra-cost rear parking sensors, which are a must for larger vehicles.

2019 Ford Transit Features

The Ford Transit prioritizes comforts over aesthetics. Since it is available in a myriad of configurations, no two Transits will leave the factory looking the same. The base models have air conditioning, handshake, power windows, and a rear-view camera.
